My Top 5 Makeup Tips

-My Life Saving Makeup Tips- As a makeup lover, I’m always trying new products and techniques but there are still little things that bother me, like the way concealer builds up into little lines beneath my eye, or when I accidentally touch my face with the mascara wand after doing a full face of makeup, so I’ve come up with 5 top tips to help up makeup amateurs (or pros)! -Tip One- Removing makeup mistakes Mascara is always the last thing I apply when doing my makeup in the morning, which makes my face more at risk of being ruined by the classic ‘poking myself in the eye and transferring the mascara to my bottom eyelid’, or just being clumsy and touching my face with a wand-full of mascara. I’ve mentioned Garnier’s Micellar water in a previous post and that I don’t really like to use it much, but it is good for getting rid of little mistakes like this one. I put a tiny bit of the micellar water on to a cotton bud and dab the area I want removed until it’s nearly gone (t

4 Steps to Clear Skin

-My 4 Step Nightly Skincare Routine- Hello! So today I’m going to share my 4-step nightly skincare routine that I’m sure gives me clear and almost poreless skin! I been using few Liz Earle products every night for over a year now and I swear by it. People often say to me how clear my skin looks and I suppose that’s partly just down to luck, I never really get any spots and I was fortunate enough to not suffer with acne in school, but it’s also down to the products I use and how I look after my skin. I tend to apply quite a bit of makeup during the day which means I need a good makeup remover to get it all off, so I use the Liz Earle hot cloth cleanser, which brings me to my first step. -Step One- I generously apply the Liz Earle cleanser to my dry face on top of all my makeup while I fill up the sink with “hand hot” water. Then using one of the Liz Earle muslin cloths, I wash the cleanser off which brings all my makeup off too, rinsing the muslin cloth under the tap after ev

Birchbox Review

-First Impressions of March Birchbox- I’ve been subscribed to Birchbox for almost a year now and it has had good and bad months, but as I mentioned in my AfterSpa review  I love receiving my Birchbox every month, I try to avoid seeing the spoilers so it’s more of a surprise when I get it. First off, I love the design on this month’s box.   I knew two of the products I’d receive before I got my box as I follow Birchbox on my personal instagram account, and I was already looking forward to getting my hands on them, even though I already owned one.   I was surprised to find out a few days ago that Benefit Cosmetics’ new BADGal Bang mascara was being included in March’s edition of Birchbox, I was excited and yet slightly disappointed at the same time because I had already gone out and bought and reviewed it when it was launched! But I guess you can never have too much mascara, it just means I now have a back up! Once I opened the box I was expecting the bottle to be in the sam

Snow Day

So, as I said in my last post, I’d do a dedicated blog page about the snow, it’s so pretty and we barely get any snow where I live so I was excited about doing this one. I’ve been snowed in for the past 3 days as the roads are way too dangerous to drive on, as you may have heard in the news, but I did manage to get out to take a few pretty pictures. We took a sled to the next town over where there’s a few big open parks, the whole park was completely covered, it looked so pretty. We had to walk part of the way home as the car wouldn’t make it all the way, but I didn’t mind too much because it wasn’t really that cold and we had to walk through a sweet little village to get home.   These are my favourite pictures from the day, unfortunately I’m still having trouble trying to control the placement of the pictures as I blog from my iPad, so the pictures will be varying sizes, if anyone knows any tips for using Blogger on an iPad then let me know! February Notes

What Did I Get Up To?

Is BADgal BANG really out of this world?

Benefit’s New Launch

-What is Benefit Cosmetics releasing tomorrow?- Recently there’s been a lot of talk about Benefit Cosmetics’s new release, and it’s all been very secretive, giving no kind of indication as to what it is, and weather it’s a new range or just one product. To find out as much as I possibly could I did some research before the big reveal, but I have to admit, there really is nothing online that even hints at what it could be, but it is being described as ‘out of this world’ by benefit themselves. After finding virtually nothing online I popped into the nearest benefit counter on my way to work to ask a few questions, and found that it can’t be sold until 7pm tomorrow, so I will be going back there to pick up whatever it is that’s being launched. The only other information I did get which I think might be quite telling is that whatever is being released is ‘what Benefit is well known for’ and the first thing that comes to mind is eyebrows. So, using the very limited information obtained,

Magic Makeup Remover

-Magic Makeup Remover- I’m always interested in trying new beauty products and I love finding new things that work for me, so I subscribe to Birchbox (which is just a monthly subscription of different skincare and makeup products). In this months box I received something I've never heard of before so I thought it would be worth writing about it here. The the brand of the product is Afterspa which is new to me too, they describe this product as a magic makeup remover, so I was pretty interested in finding out more. Before I opened the packaging my initial thought was that it was going to be a little mitt, but when I opened it up it was a long oval piece of fluffy cloth, but I think I may have received a sample size so the full version probably is a mitt. I machine washed it first as instructed, because that's apparently what makes it work, according to the instructions (I’m not sure what the science behind it is). When I ran it under the tap I expected it be soapy a

New Years Resolutions

- New year's resolutions - I know its a bit late, but we are still in January (just). So I thought this topic was still totally appropriate and a good way for me to give a bit more information about myself. Even though I never usually stick to my resolutions, I’ve made a fair few this year. The first one is quite a big and expensive one.     Moving out -  Currently I live with my Mum and Sister, but my Boyfriend and I have been together for nearly 3 years now, and we’ve decided this year would be the year we move out. I don't know the first thing about house hunting, bills, or living on my own, so if anyone has any good advice it would be much appreciated!    The second of my three resolutions is less expensive but equally scary for me.    Blog - I settled on doing a blog because it seems a lot less daunting than going straight to vlogs and having my face on the internet forever, so for now I'm happy to share my experiences, but from behind the

A Quick Introduction

-Welcome to my new blog- I am 19 years old, I live in Devon, and as a part of my new year’s resolution this year I’m starting a blog. It’s something I've wanted to do for a while as I think sharing my thoughts and creations with other people could be quite nice, so here I am. I haven't quite decided what my main theme here will be yet, but for now, I thought I'd post about whatever interests me at the time and let a theme develop. I have quite a few, small, interests (makeup, skincare, textiles, and photography to name a few) so I'll mainly be talking about those, but if anyone wants to hear about anything in particular, please just ask!
